Tangs, or Surgeonfish, are very common in large reef tanks and come in a variety of shapes and colors.
Some grow to over 12 inches and swim for miles per day in the ocean, so they need a large aquarium.
They are mostly herbivores who graze on algaes and seaweeds throughout the day and are peaceful with many different fish, however may fight with other tangs unless added together
Tangs can live 10-20 years or more and should be fed a variety of dry and frozen herbivore foods with supplemental dried seaweed sheets.
