Dogface Puffer

Pufferfish are a popular fish because they have such personality, will follow you around and often beg to be fed.
The Dogface Puffer will get rather large, up to 12 inches, so they should have a large aquarium as an adult.

The Dogface Puffers colors can vary from a gray, gray with yellow belly, or all yellow.

They may eat any shrimp, crabs, snails in your tank as well as pick at some corals, so use caution in a reef.

They can inflate with water when startled or as a defense against predators and can cause extra stress on the fish.
Their skin contains a toxin to protect itself, so they must be handled with care and hands washed after touching the fish.
They like to eat meaty foods like krill, shrimp, squid and other seafood 1-2 times daily.
